Kate Moross

London

Kate Moross (22) is a graphic designer and illustrator based in London where she started working for the music scene, hand drawing flyers and creating unique geometric graphics. She owns and runs a Vinyl-only record label, Isomorph Records, set up to explore further the relationship between design and music. Her achievements include campaigns for Cadburys, Sony, Zune, Ford. She launched her own range of signature clothing at Top Shop. Moross says about herself: “Specialising in work for the Music Industry. As an artist I possess a split personality. I have gained notoriety for my freelance illustration internationally. Having worked prolifically over the last 3 years as an illustrator creating bold psychedelic artwork for clients big and small. I am also however very focused on my personal practice, producing work that explores geometry, psychology and art theory. I like three sided shapes and illegible typography. I am an avid collector of modular toys. I am a workaholic and enjoy the tension between my two practices.”

Luna Maurer

Amsterdam

Trained as a graphic designer, Luna Maurer (37)works as an independent designer in the field of graphic, interaction and media design in Amsterdam. Her interests lie in technological developments that change our media into fluid digital environments, and in finding design solutions for it. Central in the work of Luna Maurer is the theme “control”. This leads to design methods in which designing the environments and conditions for visualization or creation of content is more important than designing the end product. The structure and the process become an important part of the message.
Her work has been exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Museum Het Domein in Sittard, Museum de Paviljoens in Almere, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam and the London Design Museum.
Since 2004 she teaches interaction design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Maurer gives workshops and lectures inside and outside the Netherlands.
